We currently have a vacancy for a Terminal Operator at our Aberdeen Terminal. This Full Time and Permanent position working 40hrs per week on a shift pattern of 2 days 06:30-2:30pm, 2 days 2:30pm-10:30pm and 2 nights 10:30pm-06:30am then 2 days off.
Your Primary responsibility as a Terminal Operator will be to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the terminal while assisting with discharging ships and bunkering fuel onto ships. You will also receive ships bringing in fuel and ensure that fuel is correctly and safely discharged into storage tanks.
Responsibilities:
- Discharge ships and bunkering fuel for ships as directed.
- Receive ships bringing in fuel and ensure that fuel is correctly and safely discharged into storage tanks.
- Maintain the upkeep and maintenance of the terminal.
Qualifications:
- Driving licence (essential)
- Health and Safety awareness
- Ability to work outdoors, near water and at height (tank tops)
- Excellent organisation skills
- Strong communication skills, able to demonstrate good listening and questioning techniques
- The ability to accurately collate, analyse and evaluate information
- To be able to use own initiative and work unsupervised demonstrating self-management in demanding situations
- Excellent team player
- Positive, optimistic, and self-motivated
- Basic IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
