The Role
As a Senior Optical Assistant, you’ll be supporting the team and creating a brilliant experience for every patient. Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming patients and providing warm, exceptional customer service
- Carrying out pre-screening and eye health checks
- Supporting a smooth handover to the Optometrist
- Dispensing spectacles and advising on lens options
- Helping customers choose frames to suit their needs and style
- Managing collections and aftercare appointments
- Fitting, adjusting and repairing spectacles
- Providing contact lens teaches and ongoing support
- Completing administrative duties accurately
- Supporting the wider team with the smooth running of the practice
- Maintaining the high standards expected within an independent practice
