This is a rare opportunity for a Pensions Partner to help shape the next stage of a growing, ranked pensions practice at a leading international law firm.
The Opportunity
The team is expanding, with real depth in pension risk transfer and de-risking. You’ll advise insurers, trustees and employers on complex buy-ins, buy-outs, funding, covenant and corporate transactions.
The practice is ranked in the leading legal directories, and clients value its technical strength and pragmatic advice. The firm is now building its de-risking offering further, with a clear plan to grow alongside its wider insurance and investment capability. If you have ideas on where the market is heading, there’s real appetite to hear them and the platform to act on them.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow relationships with insurers, trustees and corporate sponsors.
- Advise on complex pensions matters and transactions, with a focus on de-risking.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to win and deliver cross-practice mandates.
- Raise the profile of the team through business development, events and thought leadership.
- Mentor and develop junior lawyers.
About You
You are an England and Wales-qualified pensions partner with the following attributes:
- Established experience advising on pension risk transfer or wider de-risking.
- A client following, or the credibility to build one, with insurers and trustees.
- A commercial, pragmatic approach to advice.
- A collaborative style and the ambition to help grow a team.
