Job Description
This is a rare fully remote Construction Senior Associate (non-contentious) opportunity with a world-class law firm.
The construction and projects practice runs as one team nationally rather than a set of separate office silos, which means the work comes from across the network.
Clients include developers, SPV project companies, funders, owners, contractors and equipment suppliers, and the mandates range from local schemes to UK-wide and international projects.
Sector coverage spans real estate development and investment, energy, transport and infrastructure.
You certainly won't be stuck on one type of matter.
Day to day you'd be leading and supporting on transactions, holding your own client relationships and helping shape the team's market knowledge and business development.
There's genuine autonomy in the role.
You'll run your own matters with a large cross-office team behind you when a deal needs it.
The team is friendly and dynamic, and associate development is taken seriously rather than a loose add on.
The firm has a well-established career progression programme, and there's a clear route through for someone who wants to build a practice rather than simply service one.
Flexible working is supported, and the firm welcomes applications from candidates of any background.
What they're after
- Qualified in England & Wales or Scotland
- Solid grounding in construction contracts (including the main standard forms), consultant appointments and collateral warranties
- Real estate, energy or infrastructure exposure is welcome but not a dealbreaker
