With a mission to save pets from the misery of bad teeth, Luna the Dental Vets is changing the way in which dental care is provided for dogs and cats, with dedicated vets and nurses providing expert clinical care at Luna dental-only vet clinics.
Luna The Dental Vets is the brainchild of Dr Joe Inglis MRCVS and Louise Cooke who have come together after decades in the industry to build something truly different to support pets to access fixed price, affordable expert dental care. In 2025 we opened our first practice in Bristol and in early 2026 our second in Wokingham, which has grown to multiple tables and our centre of excellence offering fixed price, affordable advanced dental procedures taking external and internal referrals. We’re now bringing Luna to the south coast, with a brand new practice opening in Eastleigh. We’re looking for our founding team, supported by our existing clinical and support colleagues plus certificate holder clinical board.
Your role: As Lead Veterinary Surgeon you’ll be the key point of contact for co-founders Louise & Joe, work directly with our clinical director and clinical board and lead the practice to establish itself as the go-to destination for dental care for puppies and kittens through to senior pets.
Key Responsibilities
- You’ll deliver great dental care from scale & polish (Luna Protect & Shine) to extractions (Luna Fix & Shine), all following the Luna guidelines and model.
- As you’re able to, you’ll deliver more advanced dental procedures (Luna Restore & Shine).
- Deliver 3 to 4 dental procedures a day.
- Primarily sole charge.
- Thrive within a start-up environment where you get true input & can help set up a brand new practice.
- Support the wider Luna mission to set the standard for at-home preventative dental care through The Luna Dental Health Club & Luna dental products.
Requirements
- Qualified veterinary surgeon.
- 3+ years experience.
- Comfortable with sole charge.
- Good level of first-opinion dental experience and skills.
Salary up to £70k. Pre-scheduled appointments only means leaving on time. 8 - 5pm shifts. 1 in 3 Saturdays (or less) (Monday to Friday opening to start with, and Saturdays as we grow). FIGS scrubs. 25 days annual leave + BH. Clinics shut between Xmas & NY. Access to BVDA membership. Being a part of a well-funded and growing start-up where the co-founders are hands-on and your ideas & input are heard and make a difference.
