Role Overview

We're looking for a Site Runner to join the Luna Hut team in a varied, hands-on role supporting the day-to-day running of our sauna sites.

A bit like a runner on a busy production, you'll work across different parts of the operation and pitch in wherever an extra pair of hands is needed.

One day you might be working a busy sauna shift; another could involve visiting sites, moving equipment, painting, helping with a deep clean, delivering supplies or supporting a Site Manager with practical and maintenance jobs.

You’ll become familiar with how all of our sites operate and work closely with our Operations Manager, Staff Manager and Site Managers to help keep everything running smoothly.

This is a great role for someone practical, proactive and keen to learn how a busy multi-site operation works. You don’t need to be a carpenter or skilled tradesperson – we’re looking for someone capable, reliable and genuinely happy to get stuck in.

What the Week Looks Like

The Staff Manager will schedule your weekend work depending on operational needs. This will include planned Sauna Host cover and emergency cover where required, for example due to sickness or where a site would otherwise need to close.

Where cover isn’t required, you’ll be assigned to a site to provide additional hosting and operational support during our busiest periods.

You’ll take on the Sauna Supervisor role at Beaconsfield Road, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the sauna and working alongside the Site Manager who will also be on site. This will include doing the weekly deep clean and ordering and completing straightforward practical jobs when required.

Wednesday – Site & Maintenance Support (9am–5.30pm)

You’ll usually work on site alongside a Site Manager, supporting with planned maintenance, practical jobs, site upkeep and other operational tasks.

Depending on what is needed that week, you may instead be assigned to the yard or another site/project to support practical work, maintenance or site development.

Your work for the day will be assigned in advance so there is a clear plan and point of direction.

The exact mix of work will vary depending on operational needs, but your days will be planned and assigned so you have clear priorities and know who is directing your work. Being adaptable and happy to turn your hand to different things is an important part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Site Operations & Hosting
    • Regularly work Sauna Host shifts across Luna Hut sites.
    • Provide planned and emergency cover where required.
    • Support hosts and provide an extra pair of hands during busy periods.
    • Help resolve straightforward operational issues within your training and responsibilities.
    • Help maintain consistently high operational and customer service standards across our sites.
    • Pass on issues, incidents or feedback requiring further action to the relevant manager.
  2. Practical Site & Maintenance Support
    • Work alongside Site Managers on site visits and planned maintenance tasks.
    • Complete practical and maintenance jobs assigned by the Site Manager or relevant manager.
    • Carry out straightforward jobs such as painting, cleaning, basic repairs and general site upkeep.
    • Support deep cleans and regular site resets.
    • Help prepare tools, equipment and materials for planned jobs where required.
    • Spot small problems and either deal with them where appropriate or flag them to the relevant manager.
    • Help keep sites safe, tidy, organised and well maintained.
  3. Staff Support & Training
    • Become a fully trained Sauna Host across all Luna Hut sites and understand the different routines and requirements of each location.
    • As your knowledge develops, support the practical on-site training of new Sauna Hosts.
    • Work closely with the Staff Manager and Site Managers, sharing useful feedback and information from live shifts.
    • Help communicate straightforward operational information to site teams when asked by a manager.
  4. Logistics
    • Move stock, equipment, signage, tools and supplies between sites.
    • Collect and deliver items as required.
    • Assist with deliveries and general site logistics.
    • Help ensure sites have the equipment and supplies they need for day-to-day operations.
    • Support Site Managers with gathering and transporting materials required for planned maintenance work.
  5. Projects & New Sites
    • Help set up new and seasonal sauna sites.
    • Support refurbishments, site improvements and other practical projects.
    • Help with moving, setting up and organising equipment and materials.
    • Pitch in with the varied practical jobs that come with operating and developing multiple sites.
  6. Health & Safety
    • Follow Luna Hut's health and safety procedures at all times, including manual handling and lone-working procedures.
    • Report hazards, damage, incidents and maintenance issues promptly.
    • Work safely and sensibly when using tools or carrying out practical tasks.
    • Only undertake maintenance or repair work that you are trained and competent to carry out.

What We’re Looking For

Practical, hands-on and happy to get stuck in.

Proactive – someone who notices when something needs doing rather than always waiting to be asked.

Reliable and comfortable being given a job and getting on with it.

Friendly and confident working with customers and colleagues.

Organised and able to adapt when priorities change.

Comfortable working independently while knowing when to ask for help or elevate an issue.

Comfortable working outdoors throughout the year.

Happy travelling regularly between sites.

Comfortable working Saturday and Sunday evenings as part of your normal working week.

Some experience in hospitality, events, outdoor work, facilities, DIY or similar would be useful, but isn’t essential.

Basic confidence with tools and practical jobs is helpful, but this isn’t a skilled carpentry or trades role.

Full UK driving licence required.

Use of your own vehicle would be helpful but isn’t essential.
