Lumyn is working with a small number of UK-based robotics and physical AI companies in the defence tech, drone autonomy, and industrial robotics space, all sub-50 staff and recently funded. We are looking for senior embedded / firmware engineers to join at the founding-tier equity level to spearhead the embedded engineering work end-to-end from day one – firmware, hardware integration, and on-device autonomy alongside the founding team, with real ownership of the technical stack.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years senior embedded or firmware experience (STM32, FreeRTOS, bare metal C/C++, or embedded Linux on Jetson-class compute)
  • Strong systems background – sensor integration, real-time control, motor control, autonomy stack, or comms
  • UK-based or willing to relocate to UK; British / EU / EEA citizenship for defence-cleared roles
  • Comfortable working at sub-50-staff founding teams with meaningful equity
