Job Summary
The MEAL Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all day‑to‑day activities across Lumorus’ MEAL projects, including the PMI Phase 2 programme. This role leans strongly into project management: translating programme objectives into practical delivery plans, coordinating multi‑country field operations, tracking progress against milestones, managing risks and dependencies, and ensuring that monitoring evidence and reporting outputs are delivered on time and to a high standard.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Delivery Management: Coordinate day‑to‑day delivery across Lumorus’ MEAL projects, ensuring clear scope, milestones, and deliverables. Develop and maintain integrated workplans. Run routine delivery cadence and maintain meeting notes and decision logs. Track progress against timelines and deliverables.
- Project Governance, Risk, Issue & Compliance Tracking: Maintain a simple RAID log and ensure items are reviewed and actioned regularly. Track compliance with donor and internal reporting requirements.
- Multi‑country Field Operations & Team Coordination: Provide direct coordination, guidance, and remote supervision to field officers in multiple countries. Conduct virtual check‑ins and support recruitment and onboarding of future field staff.
- Quality Assurance, Data Integrity & MEAL Standards: Ensure data collection standards are followed consistently. Conduct data verification and implement corrective actions with field teams.
- Data Management, Analysis Support & Visualization: Compile, clean, and organise data from field teams. Assist in building dashboards and contribute to monthly and quarterly monitoring reports.
- MEAL Tools & Framework Development: Assist senior staff in designing and strengthening MEAL frameworks for Lumorus’ global projects.
- Technology‑enabled Delivery & Process Improvement: Support the rollout and use of digital monitoring tools across field teams. Identify opportunities to automate or streamline reporting tasks.
- Stakeholder & Partner Engagement: Coordinate communication with local partners, project staff, and community representatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Demography, Sociology, Public Health, Social Sciences, Statistics, or Project Management.
- 2–5 years of experience in project coordination, MEAL/M&E, or field data management.
- Strong project coordination capability and proficiency with Excel.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to coordinate teams remotely.
- Experience supporting donor‑funded programmes and familiarity with monitoring in rural or low‑resource settings.
- Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) or equivalent project delivery experience.
- Strong communication skills and proactive problem‑solving.

Salary review after 6–12 months based on performance. Promotion to Monitoring, Evaluation & Compliance Manager.
