Job Summary
The Manager, Intellectual Assets and Thought Leadership is responsible for developing, managing, and elevating the organization’s intellectual capital. This role leads the creation, packaging, and dissemination of high-quality insights, research, frameworks, and strategic content that position the organization as a credible industry authority. The position requires a balance of strategic thinking, editorial leadership, and hands-on content creation across digital platforms, webinars, podcasts, reports, and brand communication materials.
The ideal candidate is a structured thinker, strong writer, SEO-aware strategist, and execution-focused professional capable of independently managing the full content lifecycle, from ideation to optimization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with marketing and business goals.
- Build and manage a structured editorial calendar across platforms.
- Define content themes, messaging frameworks, and thought leadership direction.
- Align content initiatives with digital marketing funnels and audience journey stages.
- Continuously analyze performance metrics and optimize strategy accordingly.
- Create high-quality blogs, whitepapers, reports, newsletters, website content, and thought leadership articles.
- Develop branding materials including brochures, presentations, and corporate documentation.
- Produce authoritative, research-backed, and professionally structured content.
- Maintain a centralized repository of intellectual assets.
- Ensure consistency in tone, messaging, and brand positioning across all channels.
Thought Leadership Strategy
- Develop and implement a thought leadership strategy aligned with organizational priorities.
- Identify key themes, industry trends, and emerging issues for content development.
- Position senior leaders and subject matter experts as recognized voices in the sector.
- Oversee publication calendars and distribution plans.
- Prepare scripts, discussion briefs, research notes, decks, and supporting material for webinars and podcasts.
- Develop structured content outlines for guest speakers and internal leadership.
- Repurpose webinar and podcast content into multiple digital formats (blogs, clips, email summaries, social posts).
SEO & Optimization
- Conduct keyword research and search intent analysis.
- Ensure all content is SEO-optimized (on-page structure, keyword integration, metadata, internal linking).
- Monitor organic performance and refine content for improved search visibility.
- Align content with search demand and competitive positioning.
Multi-Format Content Repurposing
- Transform long-form content into short-form articles, video scripts, social carousels, email content, and summaries.
- Maximise content lifecycle value through strategic repackaging and distribution.
- Collaborate with the Social Media Manager for platform-specific content adaptation.
AI & Productivity Integration
- Utilise AI tools to enhance research, ideation, structuring, and editing efficiency.
- Leverage AI for content optimization and performance enhancement.
- Continuously evaluate emerging tools and trends to improve content workflows.
Brand & Marketing Alignment
- Ensure all content aligns with overall brand positioning and digital marketing strategy.
- Support broader marketing initiatives with structured content assets.
- Maintain messaging clarity, authority, and differentiation in the market.
Requirements
Qualifications and Professional Development- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or related field.
- Certification in Content Marketing, SEO, or Digital Marketing is preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning in content strategy, SEO, and AI advancements.
- Familiarity with marketing automation and content management systems is an advantage.
- Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in content marketing and strategy.
- Proven experience developing whitepapers, reports, newsletters, and webinar/podcast materials.
- Experience independently planning and executing structured content calendars.
- Demonstrated ability to align content with digital marketing funnels and lead generation strategies.
- Hands-on experience with AI-based writing and optimization tools.
- Strong understanding of content funnel alignment and audience segmentation.
- Advanced SEO knowledge including keyword research, search intent mapping, and on-page optimization.
- Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, structured, and engaging content.
