Who are we?
At Lumon, we make overseas payments effortless. As a leading international payments company, we combine people, technology, and expertise to become the world’s most trusted currency partner.
But there’s more to us than just currency exchange. At Lumon, people are at the heart of everything we do—whether that’s our clients, our community, or our very own Lumoneers.
We’re building a workplace where people feel comfortable being themselves and where diversity thrives. If that sounds like your kind of place, we’d love to have you on the journey.
What You’ll Be Doing
As our Partnership Manager (Italy), you’ll act as a key commercial leader in the region – building trust, driving growth, and strengthening Lumon’s reputation across Italian property and financial ecosystems.
Your focus will be on creating real value for partners and clients, not just managing accounts. This is a high-touch, consultative role where long-term relationships matter more than one-off wins.
You Will
- Take full ownership of strategic partner relationships – particularly real estate agencies, developers, IFAs, and legal firms dealing with international clients
- Proactively engage new potential partners through outreach, networking events, and referrals
- Deliver engaging in-person and virtual training sessions to educate partners on how to identify client needs and refer effectively
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Client Services) to ensure smooth onboarding and follow-up processes for referred clients
- Analyse performance data to spot trends, uncover untapped opportunities, and adjust your strategy accordingly
- Represent Lumon at key industry events and local partner functions, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor in the community
- Work closely with the Regional Partnerships Manager to develop and execute regional go-to-market plans and quarterly growth targets
- Become the go-to person for partners in Italy – known for your reliability, insight, and ability to drive mutual success
This is not a back-office role – it\’s front-line, field-based, and designed for someone who thrives on autonomy, relationships, and results.
You’re more than just commercially savvy – you’re someone who genuinely enjoys building trust, solving problems, and helping people grow their business.
You’ll Fit Right In If You
- Have experience/knowledge in FX, real estate, financial services, or other B2B sales/partnership environments
- We are looking for someone that can speak both English and Italian
- Are a confident self-starter who knows how to manage a territory, build a pipeline
- Have a track record of success in managing revenue-generating partnerships or accounts – ideally in sectors where referrals or client trust are key
- Have a strong cultural awareness of international property buyers, expats, and cross-border clients
- Are an exceptional communicator who can tailor your message to different audiences (whether it’s a managing director or a client-facing agent)
- Are naturally curious and proactive – you don’t wait to be told what to do, you find ways to add value
- Thrive in fast-paced, high-growth companies where things move quickly and adaptability is key
- Flexibility to travel locally for partner meetings – around 20%
Success Will Look Like…
In The First 3–6 Months
From day one, you\’ll be empowered to own your region and build relationships that make a measurable impact. Here’s what success could look like within your first year:
- You’ve built strong, trusted relationships with key existing partners and are regularly meeting with them in person or virtually
- You\’ve identified and onboarded several new high-potential partners in the region
- Your pipeline is growing steadily, with a healthy flow of qualified referrals coming from your network
- You’re collaborating smoothly with internal teams and your Regional Partnerships Manager to ensure seamless client experiences
- You’re becoming a known presence in the Italian community, attending relevant events and actively networking
By 12 Months
- You’ve increased referral volumes from your region significantly and have hit or exceeded your revenue targets
- Your top partners view you as a strategic asset – not just a service provider
- You\’ve established a repeatable, scalable partnership approach and contributed to process improvements
- You’ve mapped out further opportunities for expansion – whether into new partner types, locations, or segments
- You’re helping to shape the broader regional strategy and are seen as a go-to expert within Lumon on your market
- You’re fully integrated into Lumon’s culture, contributing ideas and mentoring newer team members as the business grows
