We’re passionate about empowering individuals and businesses to effortlessly manage their overseas transactions. Our mission — to become the world’s most trusted currency partner — underpins everything we do.
At Lumon, we believe in building trust through transparency, collaboration, and a shared commitment to achieving our goals. With big ambitions and a bold vision, Lumon is the ideal place for those with the drive, ingenuity, and passion to help us reach them.
We’re looking for a commercial, hands-on, and proactive HR Manager to support our Private Sales and Marketing teams. This is a fast-paced, generalist role, and will be perfect for somebody who thrives in a dynamic, ever-changing environment, where no two days are the same.
You’ll work closely with senior leaders and the wider people team to attract, retain, and develop top talent, and be able to make a real impact on Lumon’s growth and culture from the get-go. You’ll also have the opportunity to get involved in high-profile, strategic projects – such as new country launches in Cyprus, Greece, and Italy later this year.
What does this actually mean?
- Own end-to-end recruitment for Private (B2B2C) Sales and Marketing.
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, recruitment processes, and ongoing talent needs – coaching and advising as necessary.
- Identify opportunities to uplevel the candidate experience, reduce time to hire, and enhance Lumon’s employer brand – identifying actions to address and seeing them through to completion.
- Oversee employee engagement and pulse surveys, including analysis and action plans.
- Drive quarterly review cycles – ensuring performance goals are in place and having a direct impact on the organisation’s strategic priorities.
- Promptly resolve ER issues with empathy, professionalism, and tact.
- Coach managers on performance management, feedback, and ongoing team development.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation across the UK and other European markets.
- Contribute to strategic, cross-functional projects, such as M&A and new country launches.
- Shape the evolution of the people agenda, and take ownership of assigned projects.
What else do I need to be successful in this role?
- 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced, commercial environment – ideally with Sales and Marketing teams.
- Strong generalist skills across recruitment, ER, performance management, and engagement.
- Solid understanding of UK and Spanish employment law (France and Portugal are a plus).
- Experience working in international, multi-site environments.
- Comfort working with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
- Curiosity, perseverance, and excellent stakeholder management skills.
- A true self-starter mindset - somebody who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and delivering.
- Commitment to coaching, training, and self-development.
What can we offer you?
- Competitive base salary (£50,000 - £55,000).
- Investment in your ongoing learning and development.
- Hybrid working and rooftop terrace at our Farringdon office.
- 25 days of annual leave, with a chance to purchase up to 5 more.
- Birthday off.
- 2 additional days off for ‘Moments that Matter’.
- Monthly lunch and social events.
- Medicash health scheme.
- Cycle to work scheme.
- Season ticket loan.
- Employee Assistance Programme.
- Salary Sacrifice Pension.
- 4x Life Assurance.
- Enhanced maternity and paternity leave.
