Join our dynamic team at Luminous as an Assembly Technician where you’ll play a crucial role in the assembly of electro‑mechanical equipment for the entertainment industry and provide workshop engineering support where required.
The Company Luminous Show Technology stands at the forefront of special effects hardware manufacturing, catering to live events, production companies, themed entertainment, and OEMs. We are renowned for our dedication to innovation, continually pushing the boundaries of creativity and technology to set new industry standards. As part of our ongoing growth, we are seeking an Assembly Technician to join our team and ensure the efficient operation of our manufacturing activities.
The Role A selection of your tasks:
- Assemble equipment in line with specifications and technical drawings
- Work closely with other departments to ensure assembly is accurate and to a high standard
- Follow specified test procedures to ensure product operation prior to customer dispatch
- Resolve any issues that may be encountered whilst maintaining a safe working environment
- Clean and maintain tools/equipment and order and collect parts when required
This role involves assembly work in a dynamic production setting. Applicants with a sound mechanical background and experience with reading technical drawings will be at an advantage. You will need to be technically minded and be able to get up to speed with the product range quickly; this position is very hands‑on.
The Person The successful candidate:
- Will have previous experience in a relevant industry, ideally within the electro‑mechanical manufacturing sector
- Will be proficient and experienced in the use of engineering workshop hand tools and power tools and have knowledge of general engineering practices, for example drilling and tapping
- Can work autonomously using their own initiative, with excellent attention to detail
- Will possess strong organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
- Will have experience in one or more of the following: mechanical assembly; electrical assembly; cabling and wiring; plumbing.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
