The Position: Reporting into our SVP, Head of HR, The Employment Relations Governance & Compliance Specialist (UK, EU, M&A support) plays a critical role as a subject-matter expert for employment and labour relations across Lumine's global portfolio. This role will support the SVP, Head of HR in the preparation and management of labour relations, due diligence, employment disputes, including mediation, arbitration, and litigation. This role involves drafting and preparing documentation to support the employer's position and defence in such claims. The individual will also assist in updating employment contracts globally and contribute to the due diligence process for assessing potential business acquisitions.

Job Duties:

  • Act as a centre of excellence, providing guidance and support to the global business units as it relates to all employee relations, labour relations and new acquisition integration.
  • Review and/or prepare documentation and materials for grievances, union matters, employment disputes, mediation, arbitration, and litigation.
  • Draft documents to support the employer's defence in employment-related claims for review by the SVP, Head of HR.
  • Support the review and updating of policies and employment contracts across global jurisdictions.
  • Participate in the due diligence process for potential acquisitions, focusing on employment law aspects.
  • Project manage post close HR integration, ensuring matters get resolved in a timely fashion.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of employment legislation and dispute resolution processes.
  • 5+ years of experience with TUPE/UK/EU labour legislation in a similar capacity.
  • Experience in employment litigation is preferred.
  • Familiarity with global employment contract standards and practices.
  • Experience with due diligence in mergers and acquisitions is preferred.
  • Understanding and experience with TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment) is preferred.
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a global HR team.
