Are you an experienced PA who keeps complex operations running smoothly and earns the trust of senior leaders? We're looking for an Executive Assistant / PA to support our Board of Directors and Senior Leadership Team. This is a newly created position due to growth.
About us
We are a leading defence technology business and part of a global international group. We deliver high-technology solutions for the military, defence and homeland security markets. Our Isle of Wight team is growing, and we have recently bought a new facility in Ryde.
The role
You’ll be the first point of contact and trusted gatekeeper to the Board, giving high-level, confidential support so our Directors can focus on the decisions that matter most. It’s a varied role at the heart of the business. As well as core EA work, you’ll lead on office operations, events, suppliers and Board-led projects.
What you’ll be doing

- Managing complex, fast-moving diaries across multiple time zones
- Coordinating complex UK and international travel, itineraries and expenses
- Managing stakeholders across the business, our international group, customers and partners
- Organising Board and leadership meetings, preparing papers, taking minutes and tracking actions
- Leading administrative staff and supporting Board-led projects
- Planning and delivering events, from Board away days to VIP and customer visits
- Overseeing office and facilities operations, including supporting our move to Ryde
- Managing suppliers, quotes, purchase orders and budgets, making sure we get value for money
What we’re looking for
- Significant experience (typically 5+ years) as a PA supporting Directors, Boards or Senior Leadership Teams
- Strong experience managing complex diaries, international travel and stakeholders
- Confident, accurate minute-taking and action tracking
- Experience in event, office, facilities and vendor management
- Team leadership and project support experience
- A proven track record in high-pressure, multinational environments
- Strong commercial awareness and excellent written communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft 365 skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Complete discretion, sound judgement and a calm, organised approach
Nice to have
- Knowledge of the defence, military or homeland security sectors
- Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance
- A business administration, secretarial or minute-taking qualification
What we offer
- A flexible working policy, including working from home once training is complete
- Support for ongoing education and learning
- The chance to work at the heart of a growing business within a global defence group
- Private medical/dental plans
- 6.8% employer pension contributions
- Team events
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
