You’ll work across government, defence industry partners, and programme stakeholders to ensure the effective management and accountability of Government Furnished Assets (GFA) across a complex defence environment.
If you have strong Ministry of Defence (MoD) logistics, GFE/GFA, Public Stores Account, or defence asset management experience, this role offers the chance to apply your expertise on a nationally significant programme.
The Role
As GFE Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Government Furnished Assets (GFA) across a major Army programme. You will ensure assets are managed in accordance with MOD policy, DEF STANs, DEFCON requirements and Public Stores Account (PSA) governance, maintaining compliance, accountability and operational effectiveness throughout the asset lifecycle.
Responsibilities are drawn from the JD’s focus on PSA management, MOD forms, asset governance and defence compliance. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of MoD logistics, defence supply chains, equipment accountability, and government-owned asset management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE/GFA) including receipt, issue, tracking, audit, reporting, return and disposal
- Maintain and manage the Public Stores Account (PSA) in line with DEF STAN 05-099 and DEFCON 694
- Oversee delivery, receipt, inspection, acceptance and rejection processes using MOD documentation and forms (e.g. 650, 651, 750)
- Develop and improve company procedures and governance processes for GFE/GFA management
- Lead asset reporting activities including loss, status, audit and disposal reporting
- Work closely with MOD stakeholders, programme teams, site custodians, supply chain partners and customer representatives to maintain asset accountability
- Support obsolescence management, export control compliance and IP governance requirements
- Ensure robust asset tracking and reporting to support programme delivery and compliance obligations

- Strong Ministry of Defence / Defence sector experience
- Experience managing Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) / Government Furnished Assets (GFA)
- Proven experience operating a Public Stores Account (PSA)
- Strong working knowledge of MOD processes, DEFCONs, DEF STANs and military asset governance
- Experience handling MOD forms and defence documentation
- Experience within defence logistics, engineering support, programme delivery or military training environments
