Leeds City College are recruiting for a King's Trust Teacher to join our team. As a Kings Trust Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in empowering young people aged 19-25 to develop essential skills, build confidence, and achieve their goals through a dynamic 12-week programme.

Your day will typically begin at 9:00 AM, preparing for engaging and interactive sessions that commence at 9:30 AM and conclude at 3:00 PM. These sessions will cater to the diverse needs of your learners and encompass a range of activities, including:

  • facilitating icebreakers and team-building exercises
  • delivering workshops on employability and personal development
  • leading discussions on social issues and community engagement
  • supporting learners in planning and reflecting on impactful community projects

Your role extends beyond the classroom, encompassing a diverse range of responsibilities such as attending a 4-day residential experience, coordinating and supporting learners during their community project, and providing guidance and mentorship during their work placement block. This dynamic and rewarding role requires flexibility, creativity, a genuine passion for youth development, and a strong commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of young people.

The type of learners on the programme will have:

  • Low self-esteem and lack of confidence
  • Limited work experience and employability skills
  • Varying levels of literacy, language, and numeracy
  • Additional support needs and challenging backgrounds

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Adult, Community & ESOL (ACE) department based at College House, who were graded Outstanding by Ofsted in February 2025. In 2025/26 there were over 6000 students with a team of 200+, bringing education and life-changing experiences to our learners.
