Luminate Education Group is looking for a Senior Apple Mac Specialist to provide support for the Apple Mac systems and devices at Leeds Conservatoire and the wider group. The ITSS (Information Technology Support Services) department is the Groups centralised IT support team for the Luminate Education Group.
The department provides technical support and management for Apple devices and associated infrastructure across the group, supporting teaching, learning and business operations. Working closely with Leeds Conservatoire, internal teams and third-party suppliers, the department oversees the deployment, configuration, security and lifecycle management of Apple technology using JAMF Pro, Apple Business Manager and Automated Device Enrolment.
It also supports specialist music technology applications, including Avid Sibelius, Avid Pro Tools, Logic Pro and Ableton Live, ensuring staff and students have access to reliable, secure and effective technology to support teaching, learning and creative practice.
What You Will Do
- Install, support, and maintain Apple devices and associated hardware used for teaching and learning and business support.
- Liaise between Leeds Conservatoire, Luminate Education Group and third-party suppliers on the implementation, support and development of Apple technologies.
- Manage both on premise and the cloud-based JAMF Pro device management platform, including the deployment, configuration, security and lifecycle management of Apple devices.
- Have a knowledge of music technology applications, for example Avid Sibelius, Avid Pro Tools, Logic Pro and Ableton Live.
- Administer and maintain the JAMF Pro environment, ensuring Apple devices are securely managed, compliant and operating effectively across the organisation.
- Design, implement and maintain device enrolment processes using JAMF Pro.
- Create, test and deploy software packages, policies, configuration profiles and scripts to Apple devices using JAMF Pro.
About You
- Level 3 qualifications in English and Maths, with an IT related qualification or proven experience in an IT Service Support role.
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer-focused IT support services with high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Strong knowledge and technical support experience across Apple operating systems including Apple macOS/iOS and Microsoft supporting
- Experience and knowledge of music technology applications including Avid Sibelius, Avid Pro Tools, Logic Pro and Ableton would be desirable.
- A JAMF qualification would be desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
