Luminate Education Group is recruiting for two Safeguarding Team Leaders to join our Student Life team. We have two full time vacancies: 1 x Permanent Role, 1 x 12 Months Fixed Term Contract.
The Student Life team is dedicated to supporting the personal development, behaviour, and wellbeing of all our Further Education students. We provide a range of direct support services, with safeguarding, mental health, and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do. As part of the wider Student Life team, the Safeguarding team works in close partnership with curriculum departments to ensure effective safeguarding arrangements are in place while fostering a proactive culture of vigilance and care.

About the Role- Support the Safeguarding Manager and Leadership Team in promoting a culture of vigilance and delivering the organisation's safeguarding strategy.
- Lead, supervise, and develop a team of Stay Safe Officers across multiple campuses.
- Oversee complex safeguarding casework, including referrals, risk management, and liaison with external agencies.
- Ensure safeguarding records, audits, and quality assurance processes meet compliance and best practice standards.
- Coordinate effective safeguarding and wellbeing support for students through collaborative working with internal teams and external partners.
- Provide expert safeguarding advice, training, and guidance to staff to strengthen student safety, wellbeing, and engagement.
- Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant qualification or substantial experience in safeguarding, pastoral support, wellbeing, social care, education, IAG, or management.
- Designated Safeguarding Officer training (Level 2 or above).
- Experience monitoring safeguarding referrals and maintaining accurate records using systems such as CPOMS and other MIS platforms.
