The School of Popular Music & Voice wishes to appoint Part Time Lecturers across the BA Voice curriculum, to deliver teaching and assessing and undertake any other work associated with relevant modules. The teaching term follows the Undergraduate Music Academic Calendar. Note that other duties may fall outside of the term time weeks.
The start date for the teaching will be w/c 21st September 2026, but with planning and preparation happening prior to this week.
- Modules:
- Industry Skills (Year 2) – from Sept 2026
- Voice in Context (1 hour teaching per week for 10 weeks, both semesters)
- Professional Skills (Year 3) – from Sept 2027
- Voice in Context (1 hour teaching per week for 10 weeks, both semesters)
- Specialist Study Research Project (Year 3) – from Sept 2027
- Research Seminars (1 hour teaching per week for 5 weeks, both semesters)
We would particularly welcome applications from candidates with a particular academic/research interest in areas related to voice and voice music through the lens of musicology or ethnomusicology.
Part Time teaching staff will work closely with the Academic Manager in the School of Popular Music and Voice, as well as the School Administrator and other relevant Part Time Lecturers.
Applicants should have highly developed communication skills, be collaborative and willing to work with a team of managers and lecturers to deliver an excellent student experience and contribute to a thriving work environment.
Please note that existing staff will be paid on their current pay grade.
