About the Role

6 Months Fixed Term Contract

Luminate Education Group are recruiting for an Audit & Compliance Officer. You will support the delivery of high-quality, compliant apprenticeship provision by leading on internal audit activity against DFE funding rules. You will conduct audits, produce clear reports and recommendations, and help ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance across the Group. Working closely with operational, MIS and leadership teams, you will contribute to a strong culture of compliance, support continuous improvement, and assist with preparation for external audits. This role requires strong attention to detail, a good understanding of apprenticeship funding, and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical improvements.

What You Will Do

  • Carry out internal audits to ensure compliance with DFE funding rules across apprenticeship provision.
  • Produce clear audit reports, including findings, actions and recommendations.
  • Support the accuracy and integrity of apprenticeship data through regular checks and analysis.
  • Work with operational and MIS teams to improve processes and embed a culture of compliance.
  • Contribute to audit planning and support preparation for external audits.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of funding rules and compliance requirements, applying these in practice.

About You

  • English and Maths qualifications at Level 2 or above, with a commitment to progressing one or both subjects to Level 3 or higher.
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and confident working with data and processes.
  • Good understanding of apprenticeship funding and compliance requirements, with the ability to interpret and apply DFE rules in practice.
  • Strong communicator who can work collaboratively with colleagues across teams, building positive relationships and supporting a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Bring a proactive approach, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy, quality and professional integrity.
