Overview
Keighley College is recruiting for a Part-time Job Coach for Supported Internships. This role is 30 hours per week, 36 weeks per year. The pro rata salary is £16,147 with progression to £16,612 per annum. As a Job Coach, you will be responsible for supporting learners with SEND within the Supported Internship Programme. You will help learners develop confidence and work-related skills to progress into paid employment, contribute to high-quality service delivery, and build strong relationships with employers and external agencies to support students’ career goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide coaching and support to learners with SEND within the Supported Internship Programme.
- Develop employability and work-related skills to prepare learners for paid employment.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with employers, placement providers, and external organisations.
- Monitor learner progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to programme quality and reporting.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a high standard of service delivery and learner support.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience working with learners, ideally including SEND—demonstrating empathy, patience, and an ability to motivate and support progression.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with learners, employers, and external agencies.
- Ability to plan and deliver activities that develop employability and work-ready skills.
