Our client is a fast‑growing, international consultancy operating in the sustainability and professional services space, with operations across Europe and the United States. They are seeking an experienced Accountant to join their finance team, supporting day‑to‑day accounting operations across multiple international entities.
The Opportunity
You will play a key role in managing financial operations across several European and international subsidiaries, working closely with local Managing Directors and external accountants. The role combines hands‑on accounting responsibility with stakeholder engagement and involvement in systems and process improvement initiatives. The position is based in London, with a hybrid working model. Base pay range £35,000.00 – £40,000.00 per annum.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing Accounts Receivable processes, including client invoicing and credit control
- Coordinating Accounts Payable, bank activity, and payment runs with external accountants
- Supporting month‑end and year‑end close processes
- Ensuring compliance with local GAAP requirements and internal financial controls
- Supporting ERP usage and contributing to ongoing systems and process improvements
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or Finance or strong technical Local GAAP (NL, IT, GE, JP) accounting experience
- Proven experience in multi‑entity accounting environments
- Experience working with external accountants and local advisors
- Italian or German language skills preferred
- Organised, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, international setting
