Lumière is a studio where documentary storytelling meets demand generation. We make branded films for B2B companies and build the commercial system that turns those films into a lead generation engine. Our PRISMA framework maps every stage of the buyer journey from problem awareness to conversion, with film at the centre and every piece of content tracked to pipeline. We are not a video agency or a content marketing agency; we sit at the intersection of both.

The business is in its founding phase. The PRISMA Framework is fully documented, and the first clients are being approached. We are now looking for the right co-founder to build this alongside the founding filmmaker and framework creator.

Role Description

This is a co-founder position — not an employment position. You will be an equity partner in building the studio from the ground up. You will own:

  • The commercial and strategic layer of the business
  • Client discovery calls and the sales process from first conversation to signed contract
  • Client strategy: translating the PRISMA Framework into specific recommendations for each client's market
  • The credibility that comes from having sat in the seat our clients are sitting in

Your co-founder owns:

  • All production: filming, editing, and post-production
  • Creative direction and storytelling
  • Technical execution of content builds
  • Day-to-day business operations
  • Financial management and reporting
  • Hiring decisions as the team grows
  • Pricing, packaging, and product development
  • Company direction and long-term strategy

Neither co-founder is an employee of the other. Both are building this together, which means the hard decisions, the wins, and the risk are shared equally.

What You Will Do

  • Lead discovery calls and commercial conversations with CMOs, VP Marketing, and marketing leaders at B2B companies
  • Activate your existing network to source and close founding partner clients
  • Co-develop and refine the PRISMA Framework alongside the founding filmmaker — this is a living methodology and your experience will directly shape how it evolves
  • Co-develop content strategies for clients using the PRISMA Framework
  • Build and document the sales process: outreach cadence, discovery call structure, proposal format, objection handling
  • Shape how the business is positioned, packaged, and priced as we scale
  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships with agencies, consultants, and advisors that extend our reach
  • Own the day-to-day commercial operations: proposals, contracts, invoicing, client relationships
  • Share responsibility for financial management, hiring decisions, and company direction as we grow

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years in B2B marketing leadership — CMO, VP Marketing, Head of Demand Generation, Marketing Director, or equivalent
  • Has personally owned a pipeline or revenue number — not just delivered on someone else's strategy, but been accountable for it
  • Deep demand generation expertise — you know the difference between brand awareness and pipeline creation, and you've done both
  • Genuine belief that storytelling is a commercial mechanism — not a luxury for B2C brands, but a lead generation tool for B2B companies
  • Active network of B2B marketing decision-makers — the people we are selling to are people you already know or can reach
  • Based in the UK is strongly preferred — building this together in person matters, especially in the early stages. That said, for the right person, remote works. If you're based in the US, Mainland Europe or Middle East and bring a network and market presence there, that's genuinely interesting to us.

Ideal:

  • Has built and run a content-led marketing programme and understands why most of them fail
  • Has worked at a Series A–C B2B company where budget was meaningful but resources were constrained
  • Has a point of view on B2B marketing — an existing LinkedIn voice, published thinking, or a perspective they're known for
  • Has some entrepreneurial background — started something, been early at a startup, or worked in a consultancy model
  • Video production or filmmaking experience (that’s the other co-founder’s domain)
  • A business plan or alternative idea — the direction is clear, and the right co-founder will help shape and refine everything from here.
  • Experience in the content or creative industry

What You Will Get

  • Meaningful equity — this is a co-founder role, not a hire. Equity share is discussed in conversation and reflects the level of commitment, what each founder brings, and how the partnership is structured.
  • A validated market gap — the UK B2B content market has a real and confirmed opportunity. This isn’t a speculative idea.
  • A head start — the vision, early framework, and founding client offer are already in motion. You’re joining at the right moment: early enough to shape everything, late enough that the groundwork is done.
  • A complementary co-founder — 10 years of B2B video production, creative direction, and client service. The production side is covered. You focus on the commercial side.
  • Direct access to the ICP — our ideal clients are the people you’ve worked alongside your entire career. The network you’ve built is the most valuable asset in the business right now.
  • The chance to build something category-defining — there is no studio in the UK doing this. The first mover advantage is real.

What This Is Not

This is not a job. There is no salary at this stage. This is a co-founder relationship — built on equity, shared risk, and shared upside. If you are looking for employment, this is not the right opportunity. This is also not an investor conversation or an advisory role. We are looking for a co-founder who will be operationally involved in building the business from day one.

We are not looking for agencies, investors, or service providers. Co-founder candidates only.
