We are seeking a Logistics Technician for our established R&D and manufacturing site in Towcester, Northamptonshire. We are a global leader in designing, developing, and manufacturing innovative optical, photonic, and electronic components. Due to expansion, we require an additional Logistics Technician to manage the processing and movement of incoming goods.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Processing incoming goods and delivery receipts
  • Picking and dispensing stock items and handling general stores duties
  • Using Oracle/PROMIS for booking in/out processes and stock level checks
  • Booking and bagging finished goods into stock
  • Assisting with inventory management activities, including annual stock takes
  • Transporting chemicals around the Caswell site
  • Regular cycle counting of consumables and finished goods
  • Processing EML & DML shipments
  • Supporting the return of bubblers and reordering gases

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to work independently and motivate oneself
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong customer service orientation, working closely with internal and external parties
  • Experience in a similar environment is advantageous
  • Forklift truck license (desirable) – training available
  • Knowledge of gases and chemicals (desirable)

  • Reasonable fitness level; some manual handling may be required
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Well-organized and focused on service delivery
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
