Lumenis is a global leader in the field of minimally invasive clinical solutions for the Ophthalmology and Aesthetic markets and is a world-renowned expert in developing and commercializing innovative energy-based technologies, including Laser, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and Radio-Frequency (RF).
The Area Sales Manager provides business development and sales leadership within the assigned territory throughout the United Kingdom. Responsible for sales activities which include expanding install base, managing current customer installation base, prospecting and continually building a pipeline for new business opportunities, targeting non-core physicians/medical professionals, private clinics, beauty salons, NHS and private hospitals.
Main Duties- Consistently achieve or surpass quarterly and annual sales targets for Vision activity in defined territory in the UK.
- Design and implement strategic plans on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis to strengthen customer engagement and maximize in-person selling opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Strategically plan and manage all new capital pipeline opportunities to drive business growth.
- Proactively communicate and track sales opportunities with urgency and precision to ensure timely follow-up and execution.
- Deliver accurate territory forecasts grounded in thorough pipeline analysis.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers across multiple organizational levels.
- Exhibit deep expertise in Lumenis Vision products as well as a strong understanding of competitor offerings and market positioning.
- Maintain up-to-date and actionable records in Salesforce through consistent daily updates.
- Operate as a results-driven sales professional with a demonstrated passion for business development and a robust network within the target segment.
- Leverage strong business acumen to craft and execute effective business plans that drive success.
- 3+ years of previous sales experience demonstrated excellent results in the medical markets.
- Experience selling capital equipment with preference given to lasers and/or light-based technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Life Sciences or related discipline – an advantage.
- Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills.
- Deep knowledge of the UK Vision market including competitors, doctors, beauticians, chains – an advanced advantage.
- Very strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence required.
- Possess excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
- Strong evidence of self-sufficiency creating and working a plan to drive revenue from assigned territory.
- Must maintain technical/product representation skills and knowledge base at an exemplary level.
- Willingness to travel within UK territory is required.
