Call on residential and commercial contractors spanning from Concord to the Lake Sunapee region selling cabinets, countertop, flooring, tile, and paint product lines. Build relationships, negotiate pricing, and conduct an aggressive sales strategy that serves the customers and increases market share. Be a vital part of our small team. Proactively grow and manage local contractors and small business accounts.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and communicate quotes, terms, service, and dates to customers.
  2. Increase and maintain a strong network of industry relationships.
  3. Ensure each customer receives outstanding service.
  4. Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
  5. Develop and present designs that incorporate aesthetics and solutions that meet customers’ expectations and project needs.
  6. Assist customers in selecting materials, styles, and finishes for their kitchen and bathroom projects; including but not limited to cabinetry, surfaces, plumbing & lighting fixtures, flooring/tile, paint, hardware, and millwork.
  7. Responsible for managing several aspects of a project and overseeing multiple projects concurrently, such as scheduling appointments with customers/contractors, vendors, and suppliers; placing orders for product/material; coordinating deliveries and installations to meet projected deadlines.
  8. Handle and organize project files and documentation, change orders, and correspondence.
  9. Meet with customers/contractors in the showroom and on job sites for in-field measures, installations, and project follow-ups.
  10. Uphold merchandising and store cleanliness standards.
  11. Participate in the processing of new shipments and help the team to keep the receiving and back stock area clean and organized.
  12. Enthusiastically engage in vendor’s product training and seek out ways to improve through vendor certification programs.
  13. Aid customers in locating merchandise in store, as well as processing special orders within the Retail Store.

Job Qualifications:

  1. Recent or current experience in the interior design industry.
  2. Successful sales and account management experience.
  3. Strong knowledge of kitchen and bath products.
  4. Sales and marketing experience with retail programs.
  5. Establishing relationships and collaborating with customers.
  6. A commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction.
  7. Ability to stand for an extended period.
  8. Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store.
  9. High personal and professional integrity.
  10. Buying experience, a plus.
  11. Knowledge of retail computer systems, a plus.

Skills and Experience:

  1. Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) programs such as 2020 Design, Chief Architect, ProKitchen.
  2. Ability to create detailed drawings (elevations, floor plans, etc.) and specifications according to IRC, NKBA standards and customer/contractor needs.
  3. Knowledgeable in reading blueprint drawings and schedules, and in-field measuring.
  4. Proficiency in the fundamentals of residential construction including structural concepts and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  5. Flexible schedule based on Showroom hours: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5 PM.
  6. By appointment on Saturday as needed.

Compensation and Benefits:

  1. This is a biweekly paid position based on the professional and work experience required.
  2. A performance bonus plan is also part of the compensation based on sales volume and margin targets.
  3. There are currently no direct reports to manage for this position.
  4. This position is eligible for benefits such as medical (including a fully funded option), dental, vision, disability, 401(k) with a company match, paid vacation time and holidays and other benefits.
