We are seeking a current or rising university final‑year student for our Business Development Internship program. This internship will run for 8‑10 weeks between June and August 2026 with a weekly schedule of 30 hours per week, Monday‑Thursday.
The Business Development Intern will support the new business development drive and marketing activity rollout. You will liaise heavily with other members of the growth team, client‑facing leaders, Operations and Finance teams and the central Commercial (marketing and business development) team. In addition to your global practice focus, you may be involved in collaborative opportunities which involve capabilities right across Lumanity.
The work consists of supporting the new business development drive for the business, our winning pitch approach and culture and the rollout of our marketing activities:
- Support the new business development drive for the practice
- Support delivery of action plans to develop/maintain core NBD resources incl. case studies, biographies, therapy area slides, capability toolkits
- Support development of a quarterly report of NBD metrics
- Support the BD workflow across Hubspot, Salesforce, NetSuite and the MSC excel tracker
- Support proactive NBD outreach through use of BD tools, weekly Central BD/Growth team meetings
- Support management of RFP/RFI materials between Teams and Egnyte
- Support our winning pitch approach and culture
- Support the implementation of Salesforce for the practice including but not limited to upload and download of our Excel tracker; data entry into Excel and/or Salesforce; maintenance of our Excel NBD tracker
- Support rollout of marketing activities designed to elevate the awareness and reputation of the practice
- Support impactful implementation of thought leadership including team communications and client dissemination toolkits
Qualifications:
- Must be a current or rising final‑year student at university.
- Strong career interest in healthcare communications, advertising, life sciences, and/or medicine.
- Must have relevant classes, experience, and/or internship experience.
- Highly organized with an ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and simultaneously handle multiple projects with total accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple priorities.
- Thrives in an environment of rapid change.
- Commit to a 8‑10 week schedule (June to August, Monday‑Thursday, 30 hours per week).
- Legally authorized to work in the United States or the United Kingdom.
- Maintains a professional attitude internally and with clients/prospects, even in challenging situations.
- Maintains client confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to evaluate, interpret and analyze written and verbal communications.
- Flexible, deadline oriented, and able to work as part of a multifunctional team.
- Ability to quickly and amicably respond to changing needs and conditions.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
