Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Leicester)
Location: Leicester Pay: £90–£110/day (DOE) Duration: Full-time, Long-term, Temp-to-Perm Start: ASAP / Flexible Deadline: 28th March 2026
Luma Education Recruitment is looking for a proactive Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Leicester secondary school.
Work with KS3–KS4 pupils, including those with SEN, SEMH, ASD, and ADHD.
- What You’ll Do
- Provide 1:1 and small group support
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons
- Implement behaviour strategies (PRICE/Team Teach experience desirable)
- Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Help maintain a calm, positive classroom environment
- What We’re Looking For
- School or youth work experience
- Confident supporting pupils with behavioural needs
- Patient, resilient, and proactive approach
- DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain)
- PRICE or Team Teach training (ideal)
