Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and delivering engaging activities for children within the nursery
  • Support learning, social, emotional, and physical development in a safe, nurturing environment
  • Observe and record progress to guide next steps
  • Maintain a calm, inclusive setting and promote positive behaviour

Qualifications

  • Level 2-3 childcare qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children aged 0–6 years in a nursery or early years setting
  • Knowledge of EYFS framework and child development principles
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with colleagues and parents
  • Understanding of health, safety, and safeguarding practices in childcare
  • Enhanced DBS (on Update Service) required prior to starting
