Primary Teacher (SEN/SEMH) – Temp-to-Perm Opportunities

Location: Rugby, Warwickshire

Pay: £175–£230 per day (DOE)

Permanent Salary: Paid to Teacher Pay Scale (MPS/UPS, depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time | Long-term | Temp-to-Perm

Luma Education Recruitment is working in partnership with an impressive specialist school in Rugby, Warwickshire, seeking a committed and resilient Primary Teacher to join their dedicated team. Whether you’re an experienced SEN Teacher or a mainstream Primary Teacher looking to transition into specialist education, full support and training will be provided.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils' individual learning needs
  • Create a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes learning and emotional wellbeing
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, helping them develop confidence, resilience and independence
  • Use positive behaviour management strategies to support pupils with SEMH and additional needs
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Monitor progress, celebrate achievements and contribute to EHCP targets where appropriate
  • Help create an inclusive learning environment where every child can succeed

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within UK primary schools
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with SEN, SEMH or additional needs
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Patient, resilient and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
