Luma Education Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and highly regarded primary school in Newtown Linford, Leicester, for an experienced Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their team from August 2026 until March 2027.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and committed Primary Teacher seeking a part-time teaching role with consistency, autonomy and the opportunity to make a genuine impact within a supportive school community.
The successful candidate will teach a mixed Year 1/2 class for 2.5 days per week and will take full classroom responsibility, including planning, preparation, assessment and parent communication where required.
The Role
- Teach a mixed Year 1/2 Key Stage 1 class
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, creative lessons
- Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs
- Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed learning environment
- Work closely with colleagues and parents to support pupil development
- Maintain high expectations of behaviour, achievement and wellbeing
- Carry out all usual classroom teacher responsibilities
We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Recent experience teaching in UK primary schools
- Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Confident planning and delivering high-quality lessons independently
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Please note: This position is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) due to the level of classroom responsibility.
