We are looking for an experienced Primary Teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in a nurturing environment.
The Role
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, SEMH, communication needs, and moderate learning difficulties.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists and pastoral staff to create a safe, structured and inclusive classroom where every pupil can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs.
- Create a calm, structured and nurturing classroom environment.
- Build positive relationships that promote confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support pupils with a range of SEND.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents and the wider school team.
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
- Promote positive behaviour through consistent routines and supportive practice.
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching within a primary setting.
- A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs.
- The ability to build strong, positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
