Salary: £42,000+ per annum (Negotiable DOE)

Contract: Permanent Full-Time Term Time Only

Luma Education Recruitment is working in partnership with an impressive specialist SEN and SEMH secondary school seeking a dedicated and ambitious Curriculum Co-ordinator (QTS) to join their leadership team. This is a fantastic opportunity to combine classroom teaching with curriculum leadership, helping to shape an innovative and inclusive curriculum that meets the diverse needs of pupils with SEN, SEMH and additional learning needs.

The Role

As Curriculum Co-ordinator, you will:

  • Lead the planning, development and continuous improvement of the curriculum across your designated subject area or key stage
  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to secondary-aged pupils with SEN, SEMH and additional learning needs
  • Ensure the curriculum is inclusive, ambitious and tailored to meet pupils' individual EHCP targets and learning needs
  • Monitor pupil progress and use data to drive improvements in teaching, learning and outcomes
  • Support, coach and collaborate with teaching staff to share best practice and promote high-quality teaching
  • Work closely with senior leaders to contribute to whole-school improvement priorities
  • Foster a positive, structured learning environment where pupils can develop academically, socially and emotionally

We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Successful teaching experience within UK schools
  • Previous experience leading a subject, curriculum area or phase is desirable
  • Knowledge of SEN, SEMH and inclusive teaching practices
  • Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills
  • A collaborative, resilient and child-centred approach
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
