about this team

The team is responsible for the flow of all products to stores, partners and to the hands of our guests (e-com), in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner, ensuring the entire operation follows company policies such as finance, inventory control and accounting, asset protection, data security.

core responsibilities

The Outbound Logistics Lead plays a lead role for lululemon internal and external cross-functional partners and sets our guests, partners and stores up for success by efficiently managing shipments/parcels throughout our European network including meeting service and cost requirements. Working alongside the Outbound team you will:

  • Facilitate the movement of domestic, cross-border, and international shipments between our Distribution Centre(s) and our partners, stores and guests and between our guests and our Distribution Centers (returns).
  • Work with our retail and digital ops teams, as well as e-commerce guest experience centre (GEC) by actively communicating delivery disruptions and sharing delivery performance metrics.
  • Lead and identify performance gaps and prepare improvement recommendations to increase our guest experience.
  • Set up, maintain, and continuously improve our tracking tools, ensuring our cross functional teams and our guests have visibility of parcels in transit and are informed in a timely manner on possible delays.
  • Work directly with transportation vendors (i.e. E-Shop World, UPS, Royal Mail, DHL etc) to ensure timely and efficient deliveries of our products to our guests.
  • Partner with our global technology teams (i.e., Narvar, nShift) and participate in further development of systems, tools used to optimize and improve our guest's returns and delivery experience.
  • Continuously monitor and improve our use of nShift capabilities, and maintain the shipping rules in order to enhance our guest's experience.
  • Investigate shortages and damages, submit claims, follow up with carriers, and monitor receipt of refunds.
  • Lead freight invoice auditing: maintain general ledger department codes, amend, and create compliance rules, prepare, and monitor performance metrics, analyze carrier invoices and investigate exceptions.
  • In partnership with our London-based finance team own and analyze rates and service options from carriers to best support our business requirements.
  • Lead various forecasting and capacity analysis, with the objective of efficiently streamline the outbound shipping process.

qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in international logistics, preferably as an outbound logistics lead in a fast-paced, fast-growing multi-channel environment.
  • Experience of working with external transportation partners is preferred.
  • A clear understanding of procedures and documentation requirements i.e., customs docs for non-EU countries are preferred.
  • Strong accuracy, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Good understanding of import and export regulations.
  • Strong organizational & responsive problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to multitask and manage time in a constructive and efficient manner.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • XML experience would be advantageous.
