Lullaby Lane Childcare is a warm, home-from-home childcare setting in Forest Hill, offering high-quality care for babies and young children. We are expanding our small team and are looking for a caring, reliable Childcare Assistant to join us.
Full-time TUESDAYS TO FRIDAYS OR MONDAYS TO THURSDAYS OR MONDAYS TO FRIDAYS. Exact hours and days can be discussed at interview.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the day-to-day care of children in a small, nurturing home-based setting
- Helping to set up and run activities in line with the EYFS (indoor and outdoor play, story time, arts & crafts, etc.)
- Supporting with mealtimes, nappies/toileting and general routines
- Building positive, secure relationships with children and their families
- Helping to maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment
- Working closely with the Childminder and other assistants as part of a small, friendly team
About you:
- Qualified to at least Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare / Early Years
- Has previous experience working with children (nursery, childminding, nannying, school, playgroup etc.)
- MUST BE ABLE TO START ASAP
- A proficient English speaker with good communication skills (spoken and written)
- Warm, patient and genuinely passionate about early years
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a small team
- Willing to get stuck in from messy play to tidying up!
- A current DBS and Paediatric First Aid are desirable; if not, you must be willing to obtain these.
