Maintenance Engineer
Lineage is the global leader in temperature‑controlled logistics, focused on transforming the food supply chain to eliminate waste and feed the world.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve equipment failures across mechanical, electrical, and plant utility systems, including cranes, conveyors, refrigeration, and plant utilities.
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Monitor and maintain Coldstore systems, ensuring the plant operates within required temperature thresholds and reporting deviations.
- Respond rapidly to breakdowns, reduce downtime, and improve reliability of electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to solve problems and keep the facility operating smoothly.
- Perform work in cold environments (approximately –18°C) and at height on ladders, using provided PPE.
Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering (NVQ Level3, City & Guilds, ONC/HNC or equivalent).
- Mechanical Engineering knowledge is beneficial.
- Proven hands‑on experience in a maintenance role, preferably with refrigeration and mobile racking.
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with food safety standards, health and safety legislation, and maintenance best practices.
- Willingness to learn, improve skills, and communicate effectively in English.
- Proactive and adaptable approach to teamwork.
