Inventory Control Clerk - 12 months maternity cover in Birmingham

We are currently recruiting for an Inventory Control Clerk for a 12 month maternity cover to support increasing customer demands based at our site located in Hamshall.

Working hours: Monday - Friday 08:00-16:30

Rate of pay: £13.32 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Keep good in/out inventory, purchasing, shipping and other records up to date using SAP AS400 WMS.
• Put together data from purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports.
• Determine stock supply and need for replenishment.
• Look into damages, inventory adjustments, and shrink issues.
• Find product to ensure correct product ID, conduct cycle counts regularly and assist in physical inventories.
• Review files to find unused items and recommend disposal of excess or damaged products.
• Help with new goods in/out booking requests via Outlook & sometimes telephone.

Who we're looking for:

• Previous experience of stock control.
• Previous experience of warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or SAP AS400 system is desirable but not essential, a willingness to learn is a must as these systems can be taught.
• Computer literate, i.e., a confident user of all Microsoft packages & Outlook.
• Excellent organisation and administration skills.
• Confident communicator both face to face and over the telephone.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work within a team in a fast-paced environment.
