To support customer demand, we are currently seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver at our Hams Hall depot.

Shift Available: HGV Class 1 Driver: 4 on 4 off Nights (Start times around 15:00-19:00)

Rate of pay: £16.54 per hour, plus a combined shift allowance of £95.00 per week, paid weekly. Overtime rate: after 39 hours worked each week is paid at time and a half.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the vehicle is legal and roadworthy at all times - all daily checks are completed, and any vehicle defects are reported.
  • Ensure the correct goods have been loaded and are secure before moving the vehicle.
  • Carry out trunking and multi-drop deliveries in a timely manner and in accordance with the law (including drivers working time regulations).
  • Double check deliveries with the customer whilst providing a polite and helpful experience.
  • Obtain relevant signatures and paperwork before returning to your home depot.

What are we looking for?

  • Someone with a C+E driving licence, a valid in‑date DigiTacho and CPC.
  • Previous Class 1 driving experience.
  • Someone who can lift up to 18kg.
  • You must be able to communicate clearly with other team members in English.
