A national not-for-profit organisation based in Lambeth, South East London, is seeking a Part-Time Accounts Payable Officer to join on a 21-hour-per-week basis, Tuesday to Thursday. This role is initially temporary, with a view to becoming permanent after six months, and offers hybrid working arrangements following probation.
Reporting to the Assistant Accountant, duties include:
- Ensuring that the day-to-day accounting records of MSSC on the Sun accounting system are maintained accurately
- Managing the purchase ledger, ensuring purchase invoices and all expenses have been properly authorised and coded
- Setting up new supplier/employee accounts in Sun every week
- Processing weekly payment runs on Sun, observing adequate Director approvals
- Processing international payments, refunds, and other Bankline-related transactions
- Managing supplier accounts paid by DD, including invoice posting, cash posting, and allocation within the Sun system
Qualifications: Ideal candidate should have previous experience using the SUN Accounting system, coupled with first-rate MS Excel skills, and be happy working on a part-time basis.
