Responsibilities
A successful manufacturing business based in South-East London is looking to hire a Bookkeeper to join them on a permanent basis. This role offers hybrid working. Reporting to the Directors and working in a busy manufacturing site, the Bookkeeper will be responsible for:
- Reconciling bank accounts
- Day-to-day transactions and reconciliation using Xero
- Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
- Preparing quarterly management reports
- Assisting in year-end process
- Processing and reconciling of purchase invoices
- Processing Accounts Payable
- Monitoring Sales receivables
- Cash flow reporting/forecasting
- Monthly CIS returns
- Liaising with the external firm of accountants as required
- Processing a small monthly payroll
Qualifications
This role would suit an experienced AAT-qualified bookkeeper who possesses experience using Xero and has worked in a sole charge capacity previously. The Bookkeeper must possess excellent double-entry knowledge and have strong MS Excel skills.
