Do you have experience working in the property industry as an Assistant Property Accountant and are looking for a part-time role between 20-24 hours a week? JMF have partnered with a well-established property company based in Sutton, looking for an Assistant Property Accountant to join on a 12-month fixed-term contract with a possible extension.
Duties:
- Raising invoices
- Allocating receipts
- Posting supplier invoices
- Running figure reports for team meetings weekly
- Completing/activating tenancies
- Transferring deposits to deposit account
- Processing statements and payments
- Updating contracts and ending contracts
- Process banking at month end
- Month end reports
- Client balance reports monthly
- Running monthly bank statement at the end of each month for the whole month’s transactions
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Process payments to suppliers monthly
- Email remittance advices to suppliers monthly
- Filing invoices for audit purposes
- Filing charges and renewal sheets for audit purposes
- Raising charges for period statements (annually)
- Processing NRL tax payments quarterly to HMRC
- Paying HMRC NRL tax
- Completing NRL6 forms annually
- Issuing refunds
- Drafting form and covering letters
- Maintaining the suppliers’ public liability insurance
Skillset:
- Must have previous experience in a similar role in the property industry
- Familiarity with drafting legal notices, NRL tax processes, and lettings administration is essential.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with landlords, tenants, and contractors.
- Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of current rental legislation and compliance requirements is a plus.
Hours: 20-24 hours per week, flexible on days and times
