Job Description:

The key responsibilities and duties of the Stores Operative include, but are not limited to:

  • Efficiently pick, pack, and return parts on time
  • Manage material issuance and dispatch according to company procedures
  • Follow Goods In/Out processes and accurately book spare parts
  • Support LEAN improvements and meet department KPI targets
  • Participate in the \”Stores Improvement Project\”
  • Perform all duties in compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations and Company Procedures
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by the Stores Team Leader or Stores Leading Hand
  • Adhere to current practices and implement Total Quality Management, including LEAN project management
  • Maintain awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the company\’s environmental procedures
  • Handle collection or delivery of parts/materials
  • Assist in training personnel as per your qualifications and experience

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

Education and Qualifications

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent

Experience and Knowledge

  • Basic computer literacy and numeracy
  • Familiarity with computer systems
  • Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts is desirable

Personal Qualities

  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Openness to suggesting improvements
  • Must pass background checks for working in a known consignor area, if required

Working Conditions

  • Production and warehouse/stores environment in Hayes
  • Full-time role
  • Willingness to work shifts

  • Mandatory training will be provided
