Job Description:
The key responsibilities and duties of the Stores Operative include, but are not limited to:
- Efficiently pick, pack, and return parts on time
- Manage material issuance and dispatch according to company procedures
- Follow Goods In/Out processes and accurately book spare parts
- Support LEAN improvements and meet department KPI targets
- Participate in the \”Stores Improvement Project\”
- Perform all duties in compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations and Company Procedures
- Undertake other duties as assigned by the Stores Team Leader or Stores Leading Hand
- Adhere to current practices and implement Total Quality Management, including LEAN project management
- Maintain awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the company\’s environmental procedures
- Handle collection or delivery of parts/materials
- Assist in training personnel as per your qualifications and experience
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
Education and Qualifications
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
Experience and Knowledge
- Basic computer literacy and numeracy
- Familiarity with computer systems
- Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts is desirable
Personal Qualities
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Openness to suggesting improvements
- Must pass background checks for working in a known consignor area, if required
Working Conditions
- Production and warehouse/stores environment in Hayes
- Full-time role
- Willingness to work shifts
