Tasks

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is a key people leader within the Production Directorate, with delegated authority in the Production Manager’s absence. You will drive operational excellence by balancing safety, quality, cost, and delivery, while fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement. The role involves leading teams in a unionised environment, managing performance, embedding lean principles, and championing change. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, ensure compliance with aviation, environmental, and health & safety regulations, and develop your team’s capability to meet current and future business demands.

Requirements

  • HNC/HND (or equivalent) in engineering or aircraft maintenance, or recognised engineering apprenticeship, or equivalent leadership experience
  • Proven people management experience in an operational, unionised environment
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Experience in performance management and team development
  • Understanding of MRO operations and aviation regulations (CAA/FAA/EASA)
  • Knowledge of process improvement and change management
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
  • IT literate (e.g. SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Resilient, collaborative, and solutions-focused leadership style
  • Flexibility for shift work and mandatory training
