About the role
The Non-Destructive Test Technician plays a key role in a fast-paced MRO environment, carrying out a range of NDT inspections on aircraft components in line with defined quality standards and procedures. LTLGS utilises multiple NDT disciplines, including Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI), Barkhausen noise analysis, Ultrasonic Inspection, Eddy Current Testing (ECT), and Nital etch inspection. The role involves close collaboration with internal departments to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently, ensuring production continues without disruption. Where required, training will be provided to further develop technical capabilities and support ongoing professional growth. This role is days 0630-1430 with some flexibility required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To participate in the process of writing and maintaining Technique (method) sheets for the testing of components, and to liaise with LTLGS's level 3 Technician.
- To understand and apply the company and industry statutory operational specifications for the evaluation of landing gear components.
- To test and verify the condition of a diverse range of components.
