We are seeking a skilled Machine Borer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience operating all types of boring machines, particularly horizontal boring machines and jig borers. They will be responsible for working to fine tolerances, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring all tasks are carried out in compliance with company procedures and safety regulations. This is a shift-based role (Monday-Friday).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a range of horizontal and vertical boring machines to achieve high-precision tolerances.
- Manufacture components in line with technical specifications, quality standards, and production schedules.
- Interpret and work accurately from engineering drawings, specifications, and job instructions.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks, working independently while maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct in-process inspection and measurement using appropriate tools, including working confidently with imperial units.
- Ensure full compliance with company procedures, including OHM, CMM, and SOPM requirements.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records, including completion of Practical Experience Record (PER) documentation where required.
