Tasks
- Perform a range of NDT inspections on aircraft components within a fast-paced MRO environment.
- Using techniques such as MPI, FPI, Ultrasonic, Eddy Current, Barkhausen and Nital etch, ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
- Work closely with production teams to resolve technical issues.
- Maintain accurate records including PER logs.
- Support method sheet development.
- Ensure equipment and certification remain current.
- Carry out all duties in line with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
- Valid NDT Level 2 authorisation (EN4179 or recognised equivalent) in one or more required disciplines.
- Knowledge of EASA/CAA/FAA regulations and EASA 145 requirements.
- Aerospace apprenticeship (desirable).
- Experience in an aerospace or MRO environment.
- Good IT skills (SAP or similar systems, Microsoft Excel).
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices.
- Ability to manage complex tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Good planning skills with a flexible approach.
- Fluent English (written and verbal).
- Commitment to maintaining certification and professional development.
- Flexibility to work shift schedules.
