Tasks

  • Set up, program, and operate CNC machines to manufacture and repair high-precision aircraft landing gear components supporting MRO activities.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, perform machining operations, monitor machine performance, and carry out in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
  • Ensure strict adherence to aviation quality and regulatory standards (including EASA/FAA where applicable), ensuring full traceability and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot issues, maintain your PER book, meet production deadlines, and uphold safety and environmental procedures at all times.

Requirements

  • GCSE level education or equivalent.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Basic CNC programming knowledge.
  • Experience with CNC lathes, engine lathes & vertical milling machines.
  • Familiarity with FANUC controls preferred.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling & shop mathematics.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Experience aligning and securing workpieces independently.
  • Aerospace experience desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Organised, self-motivated and able to meet deadlines.
