Tasks What will you be responsible for?
Responsibilities
- We are looking for an experienced Manual Turner to join our aircraft MRO team.
You'll operate manual lathes to fine tolerances, producing precision aircraft components while working from technical drawings.
- The role requires a high standard of workmanship, the ability to work independently, and a strong focus on quality, safety and environmental procedures.
- You'll maintain your Practical Experience Record (PER), keep your work area to 5S standards, and may support the training of colleagues.
- This is a 37.5-hour shift-based role with occasional overtime.

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience operating manual lathes to fine tolerances.
- Machine shop technology training and strong machining knowledge.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) and fluent written and spoken English.
- Experience with manual/CNC milling and grinding is desirable.
- Able to work independently with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible to work rotating shifts and overtime when required.
- Willing to complete mandatory training and follow safety procedures., Please note you must currently be eligible to work and remain indefinitely without any restrictions in the UK.
