As a Tool Maker, you will be responsible for producing, servicing, and repairing high-precision tools, jigs, and fixtures essential for aerospace production and MRO operations.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Operating manual machines, reading technical drawings, supporting prototype assembly, and using precision measurement techniques
  • Collaborating with engineering, production, and quality teams to maintain tooling records, improve processes, mentor junior staff, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards

Requirements:

  • GCSE level education or equivalent
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Proficient in milling or turning machines
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills
  • Effective communicator and team player
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and improvement-oriented
  • Workshop experience essential; tool room experience preferred
  • Basic welding knowledge (Gas, MIG, TIG, Stick) advantageous
