As a Tool Maker, you will be responsible for producing, servicing, and repairing high-precision tools, jigs, and fixtures essential for aerospace production and MRO operations.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Operating manual machines, reading technical drawings, supporting prototype assembly, and using precision measurement techniques
- Collaborating with engineering, production, and quality teams to maintain tooling records, improve processes, mentor junior staff, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
Requirements:
- GCSE level education or equivalent
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Proficient in milling or turning machines
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills
- Effective communicator and team player
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and improvement-oriented
- Workshop experience essential; tool room experience preferred
- Basic welding knowledge (Gas, MIG, TIG, Stick) advantageous
