We are seeking a skilled and motivated Manual Turner to join our dynamic team within the aircraft MRO sector. The ideal candidate will have experience working to fine tolerances using manual lathes and will play a critical role in supporting the precision machining requirements of aircraft components.

Tasks

  • To operate all types of lathes to fine limits
  • To be able to work unsupervised/ minimal supervision
  • To be able to read and understand technical drawings
  • To take responsibility of work and others
  • To observe and comply with company standards of conduct
  • To be able to work on manual lathes working to fine tolerances
  • An awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the Company’s environmental procedures
  • You will be required to maintain Practical Experience Record (PER) book
  • You may be required to train personnel with a specified area subject to your qualifications and experience
  • All duties shall be undertaken in compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations and Company Procedures

Requirements

  • Educated at least at GCSE level or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate fluently in written and spoken English
  • Trained in machine shop technology and working practices
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience on manual lathes
  • Please apply only if you hold a valid, unrestricted UK work permit.
